1. Inse rt the le ft ha nd e nd of the hing e p in in the

2. Using a sc re wd rive r to p ush the p in Fig 1A so  
tha t the g roove Fig 1B is visib le .  
3. Fit the c lip Fig 1C to the g roove Fig 1B.

Sta rting the Eng ine  
1. For m owe rs with throttle c ontrols: Move the  
throttle le ve r Fig 9A to

2. If the e ng ine is c old , p re ss the p rim e r Fig 8A  
thre e tim e s (five tim e s in c old we a the r). If the  
e ng ine is wa rm d o not p rim e .  
3. Hold the b a le b a r Fig 9B a g a inst the ha nd le .

4. Pull the sta rte r Fig 9C c ord b riskly one or m ore  
tim e s until the e ng ine sta rts. Allow the c ord to  
re turn slowly a fte r e a c h p ull.

Stopping the Eng ine

from the ve ntila tion slots.
